Yesterday, I finally settled on the title Float or Drown and began organizing the poetry collection into four distinct sections. Today, I dove straight into the first artwork, because if I’m going to create 15 watercolor illustrations in 60 days, there’s no time to waste!
The Suitcase & The Unfair Dice Roll
The piece I worked on today is an illustration of a suitcase housing a city. The buildings are being built using Arabic calligraphy which I will do with a black pen at the end of coloring process.
Progress Check
- Title: Float or Drown
- Structure: 4 sections organized from 17 core Arabic poems
- Translations: Started today - In progress (Arabic to English)
