Art is a way of paying attention.
Zeus Blues Art Studio was created for adults who want to make more room for art in their lives as a practice of attention, curiosity, and growth.
Suzie’s approach
I believe that many adults do not need more pressure to become creative. They need a supportive structure that makes it possible to begin, continue, and notice what their work is trying to say.
My classes combine practical exercises with reflection. We look at line, colour, composition, material, image, memory, and meaning, while also paying attention to the habits and expectations that can make art feel difficult.
I do not believe that there is one correct way to be an artist. I am interested in helping you become more observant of your own choices, more willing to experiment, and more able to complete work that feels genuinely connected to you.
What I teach
My teaching includes:
- Drawing and painting foundations.
- Mixed-media exploration.
- Visual journaling and sketchbook practice.
- Personal themes and visual storytelling.
- Creative-block and perfectionism strategies.
- Project planning and completion.
- Feedback and reflection on works in progress.
- Developing a personal visual language.
Who the studio is for
Zeus Blues is for adults who are curious, returning to art after a long break, self-taught, developing a personal project, or looking for a more thoughtful and sustainable creative practice.
You may be a complete beginner or someone who has been making art for years. What matters most is your willingness to explore and participate.
A note on outcomes
The studio does not promise a style, career result, exhibition, or publication. Your development depends on your interests, time, practice, and circumstances.
Zeus Blues offers guidance, structure, feedback, and a place to keep working.
