Why did I cut up the pretty portrait?
Because one whole face would have lied.
Because she rearranges her skin everyday just to survive.
Because she was five different girls and none of them were allowed to breathe.
it’s just a painting.
but it’s also the only way i could say “look what they do to us”
without saying it about me that day.
chill but it’s art that bleeds a little, but it’s fine.
I cut it so all the pieces could finally be with eachother.
I cut it so you would have to stare at the violence of becoming.
And I left it cut
so the scar would forever say:
"An honest portrait of a girl is not pretty."
